After 17 years working in high-end kitchens, including time at Darry’s Verandah at d’Arenberg Winery, I decided to take my skills outside—trading stainless steel for sunshine.
I now bring that same attention to detail and pride in my work to lawn and garden care, helping people create, maintain, and enjoy outdoor spaces to their fullest potential.
The name Smikmore Lawn & Garden Services comes from my first home, where a piece of writing on a bedroom wall sparked an ongoing joke between housemates. What one person eventually read as “smile more,” the rest of us were convinced said “Smikmore”—and the name stuck with me. It’s a reminder not to take things too seriously, while still taking pride in doing a job properly.
